Mauricio Pochettino press conference – Chelsea boss on VAR outrage and Aston Villa draw

Mauricio Pochettino will face the media soon at Villa Park after he witnessed his Chelsea side fight back from 2-0 down to record a point.

An own goal from Marc Cucurella gave Villa an early lead and it was 2-0 before half-time when Morgan Rogers fired the ball into the bottom corner. However, the Blues showed tremendous character to fight back and earn a point.

Noni Madueke fired into the bottom corner to get a goal back for the visitors and it was 2-2 late on when Conor Gallagher curled one into the net from distance. Chelsea thought they had won it in stoppage time when Axel Disasi’s header hit the crossbar and then rebounded in off goalkeeper Robin Olsen, but the VAR disallowed the goal because of a foul from Benoit Badiashile.

Pochettino did not seem a happy man at full-time. Bobby Vincent is live at Villa Park and will keep you updated with everything Pochettino has to say.
